On the Saturday that our parent's visits overlapped we went to the zoo. Grant and I had never been but we've heard stories of crazy and sad things. One of the teachers here said last year a little toddler got into a cage with a jaguar and was killed. The animals get out a lot and you can stick your hand into any cage if you wanted to.
This was what my Dad was most interested in--the Condors. Supposedly they are almost extinct and can only be found in the wild in Bolivia, Ecuador and California. They can have a wing span up to ten feet! They were pretty impressive looking.

This was some strange giant variety of fox.......weird animals.
